A beautiful day on Saturday with Matt & Jess as they wed at St. Celilia in Cinci. The church looked great, and Father Smith was such a kind, gentle old soul that made our job very easy. The reception was held at the Madison South [1]in Covington. I love that place -- great venue with great food and great service.
We finally got to work with the Rachel from Rocket Tree Photography. [2] I say that somewhat tongue-in-cheek because of the conversations we had together about the business. It's funny -- in the wedding industry, you sometimes hear names dropped so often that you begin to elevate a person you haven't even met to some sort of cult celebrity status! But Rachel was very much down-to-earth and easy to work with, and Annette and I really enjoyed getting to know her and Carrie. Should be fun to work with them more in the future!
Now a word about the REAL celebrities of the day -- Matt & Jess! I really don't think you could meet a sweeter couple! As we were still in the beginning stages with our business, Matt & Jess approached us about filming their wedding. I met with them in a little old Starbucks across from Kenwood Mall, and they eagerly jumped on board with us, without hesitation. I remember calling John immediately afterwards, telling him how this couple heard of us on some online message board called the Knot [3]! (Little did we know the impact this "little website" would have on our business!) Since then, Jess has been a vocal endorser of 28Twenty, having thrown our name out to the scores of knotties across the Queen City and beyond. I so greatly appreciate her support of us and their belief in the quality of our work -- I owe them a great deal, and I wish them the best in their new life together!
