When the seeds of 28Twenty were first planted back in February of 2006, we envisioned this business not only producing great wedding films, but great relationships. This venture, from the very start, was about more than making a profit.
We can still remember that Sunday morning in July of that same year when we did our first bridal show, Bridalrama, at the Duke Energy Center. The three of us (Andrew, Annette, and John) huddled up on a bench on that third floor, in a section that overhangs the road, and we said a simple but profound prayer. We gave the reins over to God, just wanting Him to do more than give us "business," but real friendships. And over two years later, I still can't shake the thought...
How can I be involved in one of the most significant days of a person or couple's life, and not be their friend?
In the past week...
One couple (former client), who is relocating to Florida for a job change, planned a get-together for drinks with all their friends in Cinci. I was honored and excited to be included on their guest list!
From an email by a current client: "Ok first off...You are way more than a videographer! We definitely consider you guys friends..."
These things thrill my heart, because it means that God is answering our prayer! Yes, we love the work we do, and we most definitely love the creative process of making wedding films. But relationships will always come first with 28Twenty. It's not some marketing ploy -- it's just the reality of things.
If you're just looking for a great wedding video, we can give it to you. We'll do everything we can to blow you away with the quality of our work. But we'll always approach you and deal with you primarily as friends. That's just who we are!
