From the moment I first booked Brian & Claire for their 7/7/07 wedding, I was nervous that my third child (and third boy) would be born early. He wasn't due until July 30, and the only thing that would prevent me from doing this wedding was if my wife Annette was in labor on that Friday or Saturday. But just in case, I had a backup plan in order. Sure enough, though, Ridge came early! After the rehearsal Friday night in Centerville, Ohio, my wife called to tell me she was feeling a little "funny." As her parents were arriving in town from Kansas (impeccable timing!), I was returning home from the rehearsal. We headed to the hospital, realizing that we had the opportunity to have a prized 7/7/07 baby! I knew this was a major wedding day for many, but never did we consider having our baby born on that day! (By the way, I still made the wedding on a mere three hours sleep! Mad props to my partner John for dialing it up a notch that day, and especially to my wonderful bride for allowing me to still make the wedding! Thanks as well to the Troyers and the Markers for being so understanding!)
