Through the journey of life, there’s a few milestone moments that stand out. Life-giving experiences worth celebrating. Life-changing stories worth telling. They usually revolve around the “new.” They’re about life, love, family.
One is the wedding day. The day you take on the role of husband or wife. The day you become one with the person you’ve chosen to love for life. This is an event that we at 28:20 currently film. We document this day. We tell its story in a form that allows you to enjoy it and preserve it.
Another involves the birth of a child. Nothing in life is more miraculous than a life that is created, or given by God. More than an event, it’s about a family’s journey. And like the wedding day, it deserves to be documented; its story should be told. Beginning now, we’re offering to tell this story in a form that allows you to enjoy it and preserve it.
When speaking with previous brides, we discovered that the interest in collaborating with us on this type of documentary film was very high. So we decided to test it out. We began filming a new project back in June with our friends Steven + Dora Manuel, who are expecting their first child (a baby girl!) in September. Over the next couple months, we’ll be featuring a three-part online version of their new baby film. Here is part 1 — please check it out and stay tuned for the rest of the story!
Yay! You’ve done such a great job with this and have been so fun to work with! Thank you!
Hello Dora and Steven, It has been a long time since we saw you both last. I think it was at your wedding. Congratulations on your coming child, I couldn’t be happier for both of you. What a great video. Dayna and I have two sons Christopher (almost 2yrs old) and Zackary (just 3 1/2 weeks old) and other than being a bunch of work, are just amazing gifts. I hope you are both doing well and please include us on any email pics of your new arrival, who I guess will be hear at the end of September or early October. Oh in case you were wondering how I found the website Joseph Taylor has moved back to Dallas and he contacted Dayna and I. Best wishes to you and Steven. Congrats!
Guys – how wonderful and exciting is this!! So happy for the two of you and I cannot wait to see the rest of the story! Yes, your baby is definitely worth the wait – just as our first was as well. We know all about the frustration and longing, and then the amazing joy when you finally meet your little person. Welcome to the wonderful journey of parenthood!!! Love, Dayna
Love this, what a great idea. Dora – you are too cute!
Why do I look so angry during the interview? This is a learning process; I will be HAPPY and EXCITED the next time!
