As I was checking WCPO’s website this morning for school cancellations (this blackout has wreaked havoc!), I stumbled upon this I-Team story about a local photographer. You may have heard this story already, or maybe read about it on a local message board. I saw the story on Channel 9 news earlier this year, but I hadn’t caught this new update from August. If you’re in the process of selecting wedding vendors, this is a MUST-READ.

There are also some great suggestions to help you make safe vendor choices. You see, not only am I business owner, but I’m a consumer, too! So if I can help you in any way to make good, informed decisions as you navigate the wedding industry, I’m all for it.

I have one suggestion in addition to the ones mentioned in this article. Not only should you ask around for vendor suggestions (married friends, etc), but you should ask good vendors that you know and trust to be reputable business persons. Ask them if they’ve worked with a particular vendor before, or ask them if they have any recommendations of their own. This is another great way to establish a “short list” of preferred vendors to decide from.
